Abstract

Confession and sentencing of Jakob N., who admitted he and his brother planned the murder of farmer Barthlmä Fietzl. No motive was mentioned. The brothers lay in ambush, hidden by shrubs, until the victim walked toward them to fetch his grazing horse. Fietzl was beaten and stabbed to death. The wounds found on the victim were consistent with the manner of death described by the accused. Jakob N. was sentenced to beheading with a sword for the crime of murder.
