Abstract

The confession and sentence of Franz Steinbacher, a single man in his mid-twenties. He admitted he stood watch while his two accomplices robbed a church He also stood guard for one of the same accomplices as he entered a farmer's home and stole money, clothing, and food. He was convicted of theft then sentenced to beheading with a sword after which his head was to be stuck on the gallows.
