Abstract

Brief biography of 40 year-old Jacob Herold who committed violent break-ins and robberies and also committed murder and highway robbery. He committed crimes alone, with an accomplice, and in robber bands. Herold had served jail sentences for prior theft/robbery convictions. He was sentenced to beheading by the sword after which his head and body were to be displayed on the wheel.
